Well that's it, the last day of the official tour is here and surprisingly it's our first glum day, overcast with a few spots of rain. It didn't stop us enjoying a trip up the sky tower this morning though and after enjoying the views from 722 ft we then went a little lower to 597 feet for a nice cup of tea. We had just sat down when a jumper flashed past our window. We sat and waited patiently when another appeared. I did manage to get a shot but I was too quick and could have done with being slightly later to have it better framed. Still a shot is a shot and here it is.
This is the tower
and this was the tower from our hotel room last night.
This afternoon we did a city tour before having an exciting yachting experience in the harbour. It was pretty choppy and the boats were very fast. I was surprised that we didn't have to put life jackets on but we didn't manage to lose anybody. At times the boat seemed to be racing along at an angle of 45 degrees and staying upright was very difficult. We survived though :-)
This is us zipping along with our other boat. Unfortunately videos don't upload so this is only a photo.
John having a go. It's very difficult to stand when the boats not flat in the water.
Now it's time to get sorted out and to go and have our farewell dinner.
Hi Sue and John. Wow what an adventure you have had. I sat an read every page and there seems a lot of drinking and eating hope you kept the weight off?
ReplyDeleteToo much eating and drinking and not enough exercise. We'll worry about the weight when we get home.
