Not a happy start to the day as no breakfast was ready for us. Our accommodation had been changed for some reason and we ended up in some out of town grotty motel, although it called itself a hotel. Obviously it has a false impression of itself and has ideas of grandeur. APT will be getting a communication about it and we are contemplating one letter with 40 signatures!!!
Stopped in at Lake Taupo for an early lunch today and then on to the Huka Falls, which were very impressive.

I don't think I've ever seen a waterfall with so much volume going over or heard one so loud.
We then went on to a lookout over Wairakei Geothermal plant.
Now it's on to Rotorua to prepare for our traditional Maori Hangi feast this evening.
