We set off this morning at 7:45 in glorious weather to drive to Milford Sound. Our cruise was booked for 11am so we were able to stop a few times enroute. Unfortunately, as we closed in on Milford Sound, so did the weather. The valley sides rose majestically but we couldn't see the peaks as they were shrouded in cloud. The old man adds that it did make for some atmospheric photographs! Me, I would have liked the sun.

Mirror Lakes - Ifan, can you see that you have to read the sign reflected in the water?
A lovely waterfall that the skipper of the boat decided to get close to and give all of us on the top deck of the boat a soaking!

New Zealand fur seals doing what seals do, ie not a lot
After the trip we headed back to Te Anau to have a quick cuppa and load the cases on to the coach for our journey to Queenstown. Another couple of hours and we've arrived so it's shower and change time and off for dinner. I think we'll sleep well tonight, holidaying is hard work!
